DataDemon v0.2.33 - Ubuntu amd64 Preview
This Linux x86-64 canary includes the reviewed changes through main revision
d55ff1a2d7d5eea42ffbaf07996ae733d8e79d13. Its package matrix contains
the Ubuntu amd64 DEB, the separately tested RPM and the portable archive.
Paired computers can be renamed with ddemon devices rename NAME
or selected exactly with --device DEVICE. Read-only previews and
JSON output are available. Renaming preserves device identity, credentials,
roles, resources and connections. This command requires the matching edge
release; publishing these agent packages does not deploy that edge change.
File sharing adds content-focused list and grid views, bounded search, sorting and page sizes while retaining the approved file selection. Temporary share console output is shorter and updates progress without repeating setup details.
APT ownership on amd64 now correctly reports manual package installation.
Automatic ddemon update apply remains limited to the supported
Linux ARM64 DEB and macOS adapters. Ubuntu users can inspect the signed canary
with ddemon update --channel canary --json, then verify the release
signature and DEB checksum before upgrading with sudo apt install
./datademon-agent-0.2.33-linux-x86_64.deb. Configuration and saved state
use the existing native package lifecycle; fresh installations leave services
dormant. There is no signed APT feed in this Preview.
Publication requires two independent Ubuntu 24.04 amd64 builds with identical artifact bytes, passing frozen transport smoke and DEB/RPM package lifecycle checks, and protected DataDemon release signing. DataDemon signatures and TUF metadata provide package trust; an APT/RPM repository signature is not provided.
Ubuntu stable qualification remains open. The prior Ubuntu 26.04 workstation checks are supplemental evidence for v0.2.32 and do not qualify this candidate. The full source suite has two previously reproduced baseline failures in the synthetic serial empty-frame and private TCP command-readiness tests. Stable promotion still requires exact-candidate Ubuntu 24.04 login, signed upgrade and rollback, paired access, reboot and service recovery, enforced memory limits, and the complete idle, mixed-work and 24-hour observations.
Publishing this canary advances only the Linux x86-64 canary selection. TUF stable selections, other platforms and the global site selection remain independent.
